As well as the normal hotel facilities it also has the all glass Ithaa undersea restaurant, 16 feet below sea level with 180° views of the reef and marine life swimming all around you and seats up to 12 people, though expect to have long waiting times to be able to get a seat there and book well in advance.
On special occasions like weddings and if you pay enough money, the hotel will convert the restaurant into a private bedroom suite for two, just hope you dont have a fear of sharks or waking up thinking your drowning!.
The hotel is located in the tropical gardens on two private islands and surrounded by white sandy beaches and is accessible by seaplane only.
The undersea restaurant / room was created 5 years ago by the Conrad Maldives hotel which is part of the Hilton group and was a world first, it has been a hit drawing visitors from around the world ever since. Though there are now a few other hotels and luxury resorts which offer a similar experience this is still at the top of the list.
In total the hotel has 50 water villas, 79 villas and 21 spa private treatment rooms. Spa treatment rooms are also have glass floored rooms above the lagoons coral reef so you can watch the fish while you relax. There are outdoor activities which include scuba-diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, game fishing, catamaran sailing and sunset cruising on the resort’s yacht.
